Job offer - Maintenance Manager


Job Description

Harmony Jets is an aircraft management company based in Malta. A related company named Harmony Aircraft Services Malta Limited is being incorporated to operate an aircraft maintenance facility in Malta. The intention is to have this facility which will service initially the Harmony Jets’ fleet of Dassault Falcon aircraft, up and running, by the first month of 2023.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager, who will initially work with the CEO, COO and Projects Manager of Harmony Jets Limited to set up this operation and then, once set up, will be the person to manage it.

The employment shall be on an indefinite basis and we are offering a salary that remunerates the skills and competencies of the candidate. The individual shall be initially based at Harmony Jets’ offices at the Central Business District in Birkirkara, but then may be based at the new company’s offices adjacent to the maintenance facilities. We are looking for a professional who will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the facility completely, including the work of the technical employees. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities in the facility including analysing equipment needs, reliability issues, developing preventive / predictive maintenance programs.

  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.

  • Coach, mentor, train and develop maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements.

  • Be responsible for staff training, performance assessment, work assignment and maintaining all relevant training documents for maintenance personnel.

  • Monitor equipment and spare-parts inventory and place orders when necessary.

  • Manage the maintenance expenses by ensuring best practices in the industry.

  • Build an upkeep long-term relationships with contractors and service providers.

  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.

  • Develop and implement work processes, standards and policies for work conducted by the maintenance team to ensure high levels of production and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with the applicable legislation, requirements of EASA and TMCAD and also health and safety policies.


Who you are:

  • Have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of aircraft maintenance facilities and also proven working experience in a similar post for at least 3 years.

  • Have hands-on experience in planning maintenance operations and similar facilities’ equipment.

  • Must be able to think and act independently and in an efficient manner.

  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Have outstanding organizational and time management skills.

  • Are self-motivated and self-driven, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.

  • Have proven ability to manage time and workloads for maximum efficiency.

  • Are trustworthy and ethical, accept and deliver on responsibilities and require others to follow through on commitments.

  • Be able to lead by example, exhibit enthusiasm and encourage a sense of urgency.

  • Be proactive, problem solver and goal-oriented.

  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
